The Glo-Ball Lights Out Kit is a rechargeable basketball set designed for low-light play. It includes a regulation size 7 LED basketball, 8 LED player light bands (4 red, 4 blue), a ball pump, and a USB-C charging cable. Everything you need to run a full team session once the lights go down.
-
The Glo-Ball uses built-in LED lights that activate automatically with movement — no buttons, no setup required. Just pick it up and it glows. The ball charges via USB-C and holds a charge for several hours of play. When it sits still for a more than 30 seconds, the glow shuts off to conserve battery life.
-
It's a real basketball. The Glo-Ball is regulation size (29.5", Size 7) and regulation weight, with a premium composite leather feel built for indoor and outdoor courts. Unlike cheap battery-powered glow balls, the rechargeable design keeps consistent air pressure — so it handles and rebounds like a real ball.
-
Yes. The Glo-Ball is built for both indoor and outdoor courts. The LED system is durable enough for pavement and asphalt play. For best glow visibility, outdoor use is most impressive at dusk or in unlit areas — driveways, parks, and outdoor courts are ideal.
-
The Glo-Ball charges via the included USB-C cable — just plug it into any standard USB-C charger. A full charge provides hours of play time. We recommend charging fully before your first use. The motion-sensor auto-shutoff when stationary also helps extend battery life between sessions.
-
The LED player light bands are wearable glow bands included in every Lights Out Kit — 4 red and 4 blue. They're designed to be worn during play so teammates and opponents can instantly tell each other apart in low-light environments. They turn a pickup game in the dark into something that actually looks and feels organized.
-
Wrap the band around your wrist, thread it through the buckle, and secure it with the velcro closure. The fit is adjustable and snug enough to stay in place during play. Most players wear them on the wrist, but they work on the upper arm or ankle too depending on preference.
-
The light bands have 4 modes, cycled by pressing the rectangular button near the buckle on the opposite side from the velcro. First press: fast blink. Second press: slow blink. Third press: solid glow. Fourth press: off. For most play, solid glow (third press) gives the best visibility and makes team identification easiest.
-
In low-light games, it's easy to lose track of who's on your team — especially in fast-paced situations. The red and blue bands give each team a clear visual identity the moment play starts. No jerseys, no vests, no confusion. You can run 2-on-2, 3-on-3, or 4-on-4 with full team clarity. It also makes the game more immersive — the combination of the glowing ball and lit-up players creates a completely different atmosphere than daytime hoops.
-
Absolutely. The bands work for any low-light outdoor activity — flag football, soccer, running drills, or backyard games. They're also popular for events, camps, and recreational programs where organizers want to add visual energy to a night activity.
